Welcome to CLIMATE CHANGE BALMAIN-ROZELLE, an independent collective of local residents who share serious concerns about the planet future generations will inherit due to ever increasing greenhouse gas emissions.

As the science surrounding global warming continues to flood in, we despair at the continued inadequate action by our political leaders, and in particular at the current state government's massive expansion of the coal industry.

CCBR is totally independent
CCBR is a volunteer group that is not funded or steered by any private or government body. Any donations will be channelled directly into our community projects eg: installing solar panels on the rooftops of local schools.

_{CCBR's Goals for 2009:}

<sub>1. To campaign for an effective carbon reduction system.
2. To campaign for a rapid and fair transition to 100% renewable energy, away from fossil fuels
3. To campaign for whatever is necessary to take our planet back to 300ppm of Co2 in the atmosphere.</sub>

CCBR has always had two primary goals:

1. Say NO to a future fuelled by coal. We are speaking out against the alarming moves to increase the size of the greenhouse-polluting coal industry in NSW.
2. Green power for everyone in our area.We are committed to helping all members of our community make the switch to affordable green electricity options and reducing their energy consumption.

What can you do....
If you want to be part of the Climate Change solution, join your voice with ours. By simply receiving the e-newsflashes you become a CCBR supporter, this makes our voice stronger in letting the politicians know what their community wants. We currently send out our 'e-newsflashes', http://ccbr-news.blogspot.com/ to more than 700 households, keeping locals up-to-date with climate change developments and events. Collectively we can make change happen - but we need to re-ignite the democratic process and start talking to the decision makers ...our politicians.
